The MathsBURST team is led by Professor Tom Lowrie, a world-renowed mathematics and STEM education researcher. Joining Tom are highly experienced lecturer and researcher, Tracy Logan, and expert mathematics teacher, Robyn Lowrie.

DIRECTOR

Tom Lowrie is an internationally acclaimed researcher in Mathematics and STEM education. His work has focused on the extent to which primary-aged students use spatial reasoning and visual imagery to solve mathematics problems, and the role and nature of graphics in mathematics assessment.

Dr Tracy Logan

DIRECTOR

Tracy Logan is a senior lecturer in mathematics and STEM education. Tracy completed her PhD at the University of Canberra, with her thesis focused on sustaining mathematics educational research through secondary data analysis – utilising a sophisticated framework that analyses both quantitative and qualitative data.

Robyn Lowrie

DIRECTOR

Robyn Lowrie is a highly accomplished primary school teacher, with more than 35 years’ experience. Robyn has also worked extensively with teachers in Australia and Indonesia to develop pedagogy and improve spatial reasoning comprehension. Robyn has developed the MathsBURST lesson plans for teachers.
